I've been doing some "marketing" lately. And by "marketing" I mean "job hunting." You call it "marketing" when you are self-employed in order to take the sting out of the fact that you have to do it all the freakin' time. I applied for a bunch of little jobs yesterday. They don't pay well but they shouldn't be too hard to do, either. I could use a little "pin money." I have no idea why you call it "pin money." I don't actually need any pins. My mother calls the money I make from freelance writing "maybe money." As in, "Maybe you'll get the money, maybe you won't."
HA HA HA HA HA HA.
It's not funny.

So that's where you have been. I thought you had fallen off the face of the planet.
Hhhmmm pin money. Lee says that he is going to get me a job for this summer. As a landscaper. Can you see that.... ow I have a twig cut... kachew this grass is killing my nose... etc. etc.
When I left teaching, it was to take a job as an editor for The Motley Fool, which at the time was a startup company at the front end of the online boom. I was going to get to work from home--in my pajamas, for 2 guys in their twenties, and I was going to be paid electronically. It turned out fine, but it was a leap of faith because it looked like a 60 Minutes segment waiting to happen.
I knew you would use the "maybe money" expression - I just knew it.
It is sort of funny, a little funny?
